We left Zion this morning, and are now settled in at the hotel near Bryce Canyon. Bryce is at a higher elevation than Zion, and the rocks here are more orange than Zion (which was pimarily red, streaked with white). Today is our last full day in Zion; tomorrow morning we pack up and drive over to Bryce Canyon for a few days. So today, we buckled down and dove headfirst into The Narrows, the long stretch of the Virgin River between the northern part of Zion Canyon and the river's source.

Long day of travel. Long shuttled ride, hectic airport, delayed plane, another hectic airport, and then driving across the desert of three different states. But we made it.

Zion is beautiful. Although I wanna know who's bright idea it was to let the Mormons name everything.

So tired.

I'm gonna take a leaf out of shadawyn's and sigelphoenix's books and do that 5 Good Things Meme. I don't know if I'll be doing it every day, but days like this (when I've got no really good reason to be sad and plenty of good reasons not to be!) it seems needed.
